Jennifer La Liberte’s professional experience includes 30 years in local government, the last 20 with the City of Napa. As the City’s economic development manager, she liaised with developers, businesses and the City, facilitating infrastructure projects and business retention programs as well as attracting private investments to provide new jobs and local tax revenue.
Jennifer retired in 2017 and began consulting
She now works with nonprofits, private businesses and public agencies. She helps them navigate complex government processes, create economic opportunities, and form strong strategic alliances to achieve common objectives. She has worked closely with nonprofit boards and advisory groups on strategic work plans, funding and communications strategies.
What she brings to Our Town St. Helena
Jennifer is a skilled communicator with a proven ability to forge strong working relationships and gain consensus. As a consultant to Visit Napa Valley she helped coordinate a multijurisdictional ballot measure that resulted in a 1% TOT to benefit workforce housing. This funding source required consensus from the lodging industry, the County, and the cities of American Canyon, Napa, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga. The measure passed with the required two-thirds vote.
Through Jennifer’s professional life and involvement with Leadership Napa Valley, she has become well connected with leaders throughout Napa Valley.
Jennifer is married to her husband of 20 years, Bill. They have two sons, Josephe, a freshman at the University of Oregon, and Henry, a sophomore at Napa High School. They enjoy hiking with their dog, Abby, sporting activities and spectating, cooking, and are active members at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Napa.
Jennifer looks forward to working with the Board, deepening her knowledge of the St. Helena community and continuing to further OTSH’s mission.
